With his passion for images and travel, Éric Fontaneilles began his life as a wanderer discovering Mediterranean countries, then those of the Near East. It was inevitable that one day he would become a lecturer. His favorite subjects often refer to the history of a country, an era or a culture. His most recent reports presented at conferences were a discovery of Central European culture with his film Prague et la Bohème, and a journey through time and space with his Chemin de Compostelle, le voyage intérieur. Faithful to his Mediterranean culture, he is currently working on a secret Camargue, while making a film about the Habsburg Empire at the time of Sissi. Having reached the autumn of his life, and still with a multitude of projects in the pipeline, Éric Fontaneilles is resigned to only one thought: being deprived of the last "Grand Départ".
