ROUTES & LENGTH

Bike rides

Le tour des étangs

About 13 km

By the seaside right bank, we reach the Cathedral of Maguelone (4 km). Then rounding the peninsula, the road ends at the canal du Rhône in Sète. Cross the mobile bridge at the water’s edge (pay attention to the schedules … otherwise you will have to turn back!), You reach Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone and are only 6 km from Palavas by the bike path along the pond of Arnel.

Sur les pas du train à vapeur

From 5 to 12 km

The shared path (bike, roller skates, pedestrians) built between canal and ponds on the route of the old railway line, leads to the Maison de la Nature in Lattes (5 km) with pedagogical observatories and complementary marked trails; this is where the storks nest. Beyond, continuing along the bank of the Lez, we arrive in Montpellier (12 km).

Unique landscapes

From 5 to 19 km

Leaving Palavas by the bike path of the left bank, you ride along the pond Arnel and Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone (5 km). In the direction of Mireval, you cross “olivettes” and vineyards; then the track forks to the right leading to this village (14km). You then ride 3km on the road to Vic-la-Gardiole (12th century Romanesque church). There the protected way begins again leading you to the beach of Aresquiers 19 km from Palavas.
